New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) The nation erupted in joy as India's women's cricket team made history by clinching their first-ever ICC Women's World Cup title, inspiring the viral chant, "Hamari Chhori Chhore Se Kam Hai Ke!"
From cricket fans to Bollywood's biggest stars, social media was flooded with messages of pride and admiration for the champions who brought glory home.
BigB posted on his X account to share his excitement, adding how proud the country feels and calling the victory a moment of immense "pride."
"Jiit gye! India Women Cricket .. World Champions !! So much pride you have brought for us all .. Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations," read his post.
Actor Ajay Devgn took to X to share his excitement, writing, "A night we'll never forget. Thank you, champions. This team has shown the world what true grit and belief can do!"

On the field, it was a performance for the ages. South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first, but India's openers Smriti Mandhana (45 off 58) and Shafali Verma (87 off 78) set a solid foundation with a century stand.
Jemimah Rodrigues (24) and Harmanpreet Kaur (20) carried the momentum forward, while Deepti Sharma (58 off 58) and Richa Ghosh (34 off 24) provided a strong finish, pushing India to 298/7 in 50 overs.
During South Africa's chase, early breakthroughs from Shafali Verma (2/36) and Shree Charani put India on top. Despite a valiant 101 from SA skipper Laura Wolvaardt, a sensational spell from Deepti Sharma (5/39) turned the game around.
Deepti became the first Indian woman to claim a five-wicket haul in a World Cup final, as India bowled out South Africa for 246, sealing a 52-run victory and their maiden ICC Women's World Cup title.
A night of glory, pride, and power, the Indian women's team has truly shown that their "chhoriyan" are second to none.
